ENERGY

Fluid Systems, Inc. (FSI) started working with energy companies in the exploration and production of oil & gas. Besides continuous growth in this industry FSI is now involved in novel energy projects which include biofuels and methane gas recovery.

FSI started off by supplying solids control equipment. Following that humble start, FSI has become a major supplier to the offshore drilling industry with operations around the world including the USA, UK, South America and Asia. Drilling contractors are upgrading their rigs with FSI’s equipment designs in order to meet the environmental requirements of their clients. The original Series 500 Linear Motion Shaker was immediately a success – nicknamed "Roughneck Friendly" by rig supervisors.

FSI now offers a complete line of solids control equipment, cuttings dryers, gas removal equipment, pumps, screw conveyors, mud agitators, mixing systems, flocculation and dewatering systems, mud systems and land/offshore containerized drilling rigs.

FSI has done a substantial amount of pioneering work with "Zero Discharge" projects in environmentally sensitive areas. The developmental work accomplished in this area has led to improved systems as well as cost reductions in the "Closed Loop" drilling environment. Much of this work, which has made drilling without reserve pits possible, was done before some of the present environmental rules and regulations came into existence in this industry.

Equipment innovations include side-mounted high-‘G’ vibrators, Wedgelok™ fasteners and pretensioned screen panels – all of which are being incorporated by competitors today. Single Panel, Dual Panel, Triple Panel, Quad Panel, and Five Panel Units are all available for varying process applications. Cascading Systems (Shaker-Over-Shaker) are available for special applications where the footprint for installation is restricted. FSI’s engineering department is always looking forward to the next challenge, the next project and the next opportunity.

MINING

The mineral industry has to operate under constraints such as higher energy costs, general decrease in ore grade combined with increased complexity of mineralogy, environmental restrictions and increased capital costs. These and other economic factors have pressed this industry to seek for more efficient and highly productive systems of processing minerals. Keeping these facts on mind, Fluid Systems, Inc. (FSI) has developed mineral processing projects in the USA and in many other countries around the world designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art solid/liquid and liquid/liquid separation equipment for every application.

Almost two decades ago FSI introduced a new technology in fine screening applications: linear vibration. This new vibration has increased the efficiency of the vibrating screens and closed grinding mill circuits, providing an optimum amount of recirculation by reducing the amount of fine material in the circulating load.

Gold, platinum, coal, clay, phosphorus, iron, sand, clay, and quartz mining companies have found FSI linear vibration screens to be effective in processing their products.

FSI applications include safety screens, sizing, dewatering, desliming, rinsing, washing, trash screens, fines recovery systems and dry/wet screening.

FSI specializes in the design and manufacturing of centrifugal and screening equipment for the mineral processing industry. Solid/liquid separation from ½” to 400 mesh (12.7 mm to 38 microns), and liquid/liquid separation are the main core of our projects.

FSI provides specially engineered products to many of the mining applications in the United States and overseas.

INDUSTRIAL

Fluid Systems, Inc. (FSI) also provides separation technology to the process industry. Food, chemical, metals, pulp & paper, salt, glass, powder, ceramics and other plants around the world require different processing equipment.

FSI develops systematically feasible processes or modifies existing ones that convert the available raw materials into a desired product which meets the following performance criteria:

- Minimum cost at maximum performance
- Energy efficiency
- Good operability with respect to flexibility, controllability,
  reliability, safety and environmental regulations

FSI provides solutions for your process systems, solid/liquid separations, liquid/liquid separations, complex and non-ideal separations, process synthesis and design and the optimal location/allocation problems in exploration processes.

FSI offers added value to customer with computer simulation, pilot scale test work, bench scale test work, plant audits and test laboratories.

FSI provides hi-tech equipment to many process industry customers and is working with new applications to improve product quality and output.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Concerns from the general public and governmental agencies have resulted in regulations and specific guidelines for handling waste and other byproducts. To provide high quality solutions with environmental contamination problems, Fluid Systems, Inc. (FSI) offers innovative technologies to the remediation of soil and water, recovery of valuable material from waste streams, and removal of solids from livestock farms.

FSI provides technology for the classification, cleaning, transportation and disposal of contaminated soil.

Many industries require processing technology to maximize the recovery of valuable products from waste streams. FSI offers solutions to separate products in diluted streams in a selective manner while minimizing capital investment.

In Agricultural operations, FSI provides processing equipment to separate solids from liquid manure, while minimizing the greenhouse gas emissions (CH4, CO2) related to global warming.

FSI has done a substantial amount of pioneering work with "Zero Discharge" drilling projects in environmentally sensitive areas. The developmental work accomplished in this area has led to improved systems as well as cost reductions in the "Closed Loop" drilling environment. Much of this work, which has made drilling without reserve pits possible, was done before some of the present environmental rules and regulations came into existence in this industry.

FSI acts as a prime contractor and as a subcontractor for equipment and systems for projects requiring environmental services.
